Limits and capabilities
Current admission, source transport and usage limits.
For agents: Discover current capabilities, preserve exact operation identities, and follow the native workflow.
Start with context_get or userland context --json. It reports the selected Account, permissions, enabled operations, source transports, runner budgets and actual admission. Native hosting currently requires an enabled internal fixture Account; a connection or checkout page does not grant hosting.
Runtime and execution
A native app runs as a normal Worker with server-selected execution limits. Hosted builds, commands and browser verification have bounded elapsed time, transfer, output and concurrency. Reads and static requests also consume runtime capacity. A refused or uncertain cost check is not permission to retry without a bound.
Use the operation’s structured blocker, usage and retry information. Do not assume Cloudflare’s account-wide product limits are the allowance for this Account, or multiply one environment’s allowance across its previews.
Files and source
The API and CLI apply the same canonical file paths, byte hashes and source-size rules. Follow the advertised inline or staged source transport; incomplete uploads cannot be deployed. Save original source separately from compiled artifacts. Secret values, local credential files, symlinks and paths outside the app directory do not belong in source.
Durable resources
D1 and private R2 resources have their own owned identities and binding revisions. Stopping execution does not delete them or stop retained-storage costs. Database migrations and restoration are explicit effects; inspect the operation before changing bindings.
Plan and budget decisions
The native commercial offer is being redesigned separately from the internal hosting rollout. This guide does not advertise the legacy plan table as native entitlements. Use current Account capabilities and the returned refusal rather than guessing an upgrade or promising unlimited use. An agent must not purchase a plan or add a spending commitment without the user’s authorization.
